Fourth Week Update (Margarida Amaro)
This week we worked on AI. I created a scene to showcase the agents behaviour. In this scene, not representative of our game, the agent searches for the player traversing the backrooms as he deems fit. He navigates avoiding obstacles using the Unity Navmesh component that Marina tested and that we then applied to the scene. The agent is also able to detect the player if in his field of view, but we have not yet implemented the chasing behaviour that comes after. Hopefully, we can coordinate amongst ourselves and integrate the rest of the behaviours in the high level AI behaviour Paulo is working on, to have a fully functioning AI by monday the 13th.
We also further coordinated with the design team by establishing sub teams and deadlines. We also determined what was possible and what was not in terms of design assets and planned in case the assets were not ready in the time we needed them.
Thanks again to Sebastian Lague for the trigonometry tips for the agents field of view.
